LUST LUST LUST- The Ravonettes (review)

it's quite a long time i didn't listen to noise pop/shoegaze songs, because i was into rapcore nowadays like rage against the machine, and it was accidently started to listened to it again when i found a cassette in my room , and it was The Milo - Let Me Begin album.The milo is one of the biggest shoegaze band from bandug and yeah i listened to it when i drive my car, and i easily enjoy the tunes of these songs, and then i decided to hear more of this music from another band. than i decided to get the "Lust Lust Lust" album from the raveonettes and yeah once again i easily enjoy these noise pop songs.

it was the the third studio album of these danish duo sharin foo (vocals), and sune rose wagner (vocals,instruments). well i heard this album have many good reviews, so i try to review it myself.

the tracks was opened with "aly, walk with me" this songs sound so dark, and has a little bit taste of trip hop atmosphere, but still it wasn't called a noise pop song if you don't put a fuzzy reverb guitar wall on this song. and yeah this song has it.

the track "hallucination" has a really catchy lead melodies, and somehow i feel romantic when i heard this song, the track "Lust" is quite dark song,with a dark lyrics too. well there's something interesting about the raveonettes, their songs sounds like 50s and 60s song with they are both singing in harmonies like the band in the old days,and the atmosphere of their songs it reminds me with The Jesus And Mary Chain,and The Velvet Underground but their tunes sounds more pop .

"Dead sound" is one of my favourite tracks in the album , cause it feels dreamy and the guitar walls feels like a hug,the are some echoes noise effects here and it fits.

"Black Satin" is the track that really reminds me with The Jesus and Mary Chain songs, the tunes that they choose, the feedbacks, and the drums sounds, really has the JAMC atmosphere.

"Blush" is one of my highlights in this album, because sharin's voice sounds pretty and romantic, and the song has great lyrics. you must listened to this track. the last song that i like is the last track

"The Beat Dies" . i felt lonely when i heard this song, but feels romantic at the same time, you must listen to this song

Overall for a noise pop album, this album sounds good, this record was made in 2007 but it feels like you heard a 1960s album but it was really okay. Lust Lust Lust album it feels like you want to make out with your lover in the dark with the wall of sound of the guitar hugs you...
